A trip with children in Holčovice to the Na Stezce lookout tower

Easy route in Horní Holčovice along the nature trail

Starting point

We left our car in the unpaid parking lot right next to the Na Skalce nature trail.
 

Description of the hike

We start from the unpaid parking lot on the asphalt road towards Horní Holčovice. In Horní Holčovice turn left on the blue tourist sign. After a while, we will reach the parking lot under Moravský hill - for those who do not want to pedal at all, you can also park for free at this parking lot during the walk to the Na Skalce lookout tower.

From the car park under Moravian Hill we follow the Na Skalce nature trail towards the lookout tower. It is really only a short walk, a few hundred metres. We climb the lookout tower and even in the cloud that fell on us, there is a nice view. The lookout tower is sized for a maximum of 20 people at a time.

From the tower we walk back along the nature trail towards the car, which takes us about half an hour.

Difficulty

The trip is completely hassle-free and there is no difficult to reach place. It is on a wide dirt or forest path. On the Na Skalka nature trail, the paths are a bit narrower, but still very comfortable to walk. Even small children from the age of 4 can manage the route (tried and tested).
 

Water availability

It is a very short trip, about 1.5 hours, so it was enough for us to have 0.5 liters of water per person. There is no possibility to refill water anywhere on the way.
