We started the trek in the town of Bystřice nad Pernštejnem, parking is possible almost anywhere, for example at the Central Parking.
On Saturday morning we went to Bystřice nad Pernštejnem and followed the blue trail to the ruins of Zubštejn. We walked through the beautiful valleys of the Svratecko region, contemplating the landscape and admiring the butterflies that flocked to the streams and drank from the damp banks during the long hot dry spell. From Zubštejn we continued to the village of Vír. The road leads past another ruin - Pyšolec. In the village of Vír we were caught in a shower, so we stayed in a local restaurant. We continued to the Vír water reservoir and from there we followed the green Cyril and Methodius trail. This leads up to the Karasín lookout tower, still uphill. Unfortunately, the trail was quite a bit further along the road. We came back to Bystřice along a dirt road, which was marked by a sign.
Nice trip with the possibility of shortcuts. The route is quite long and the total elevation is around 1000 meters. That's why a good fitness is useful.
We carried a day's supply. However, along the way there are several pubs or shops in the villages where the route of the trip led'
You can spend the night anywhere on the trail, there are several shelters and a fireplace near the ruins of Zubštejn.
There were no big hills on the route, it was more about ruins and picturesque valleys. The views are offered by the ruins of Zubštejn and especially the Karasín lookout tower.
It is a safe trip, all the time walking on marked paths. There is no dangerous section.
We had an overnight snack and there is the option of several restaurants in villages along the way.
