City of Mikulov.
We started from Mikulov along the blue trail straight to Svatý Kopeček, where we saw low irises blooming along the cross path. We reached the chapel of St. Sebastian. We continued along the yellow trail to the Turold Geopark area. We didn't linger too long there, we still had a lot to do, so we preferred to keep going. Then we just followed the red road. We passed the PP Cat Rock, which was beautifully covered with blooming spring flowers. We continued on through Tabulova hora, the ruins of the orphan's castle, through Děvín to the ruins of Děvičky castle, where there was a view of the beautiful Nové Mlýny water reservoir and the small island where the village of Mušov used to be and today only the Church of St. Linhart remains. A truly picturesque place. Then we came back along more or less the same route and went around. On the rock formation Throne we saw a nest of ravens. We reached the car in the evening with pleasantly tired legs.
An easy day trip with moderate elevation gain. However, the trip is longer, so better physical fitness is advisable.
I carried a supply of water for the day, at least 1.5 liters.
We covered the route in one day. The area is a protected area, so it is possible to spend the night only in the form of a bivouac - sleeping under a tent without making a fire and with respect to the valuable nature.
The route leads over the peak of Děvín, which offers an excellent view of the surrounding countryside.
There is no dangerous section on the route. There is no danger on the trail.
A little snack to go. Otherwise, refreshments are available in Klentnice and of course in Mikulov.
